Q: Can I buy your books on Amazon?
A: We appreciate the convenience of Amazon as a one-stop shopping destination. However, to provide their bargain pricing and free shipping, Amazon requires a very low wholesale price that leaves little room for small publishers to make a profit. Without making money, we can't stay in business.
Instead, we sell our books directly to consumers. This also allows us to pay our wonderful authors much more than the dollar or two per book that traditional publisher pay authors.
Q: Who is the publisher?
A: We are! Our team has a long background in publishing, and we print our books on the same offset printing presses that large publishers use.
Q: Why is international shipping so expensive?
A: Shipping carriers like UPS, DHL, and FedEx charge very high rates for international shipping fees. We charge our customers the same amount that the carriers charge us - there is no markup. We have an International Shipping Costs page that explains the issue in detail and suggests ways to save money.
Q: Are your books available as eBook?
A: Ebooks are wonderful, but they create unusual challenges for publishers. We know there is demand for them, and we frequently evaluate all our books to determine if an eBook makes sense going forward.
We do have a Kindle eBook which is a substantial preview of Minimalist Tiki, with several key chapters from the book and over 30 recipes.
Q: How long will it take to get my book?
A: We try to ship all orders within a day or two of receiving them. However, there sometimes occasions when we are away for a few days. As soon as your book is ready to ship, you will receive an email with the tracking information.
